Creation of carved ceilings

Stretch ceiling technologies have been used for interior decoration for a long time, and they are constantly being updated. Carved models are a novelty in the industry.
Carved ceilings are created by using multiple canvases for decoration. The stand lying closer to the main floor has a flat surface of the main color. The next canvas has cutouts corresponding to the intended pattern. Thus, an interesting volumetric ornament is obtained, which makes the faith of the room unique.
The uniqueness of the ceiling is ensured by the initial creation of the pattern on the computer. According to the idea of the customer or designer, a model of the pattern is developed. After specifying the nuances, the finished drawing is transferred to a film for cutting. The slots are made with a laser plotter. The edges during the cuts are melted using a special technology, which avoids unnecessary cuts in the web and gives the product a very neat look.
Three-dimensional profiles specially designed for this are used for fastening the canvases to the ceiling. They make it possible to simultaneously attach two layers - with and without notches. The stretch ceiling canvases can be mounted tightly to each other and with small gaps. The size of the gap depends on the personal choice of the customer and can range from 0.5 cm to 5 cm. This is also used in order to install LED lamps in the intervals between the layers. This technique allows you to create a very beautiful decor with a special three-dimensional effect and make your upper surface of the room original.

Advantages of carved stretch ceilingschoosing options

Tension coverings with cutouts have many advantages:
1. High protection against sound transmission. Due to the large number of holes in the canvases, sound waves are absorbed and the sound does not penetrate beyond the ceiling.
2. For stretched fabrics, special films with antistatic properties are used. They are completely environmentally friendly and can be used in any premises.
3. Stretch blades allow you to mask any irregularities. It is worth considering that the cost of a carved stretch ceiling is not so high in comparison with the result obtained. After accurately explaining your ideas to the designer, you can create a unique interior in your room.
In order to decide which type of ceiling covering to choose during the repair, which will be combined with the interior design of the room, will be practical, easy to use, it is necessary to study a sufficient amount of literature. A simpler option is to choose a good quality organization dealing with stretch ceilings and be calm that the resulting ceiling will meet all the requirements.
The most popular at the moment in terms of their availability are vinyl film ceilings. They are available in glossy, matte and satin finish. Glossy ceilings create a mirror effect, reflect light and atmosphere, and thus visually expand the space, which is especially beneficial for installing stretch ceilings in small rooms. A glossy canvas has a huge choice of color solutions, while gloss conveys color saturation to the fullest. Matte ceilings without reflections and light refractions accurately convey the color of the coating, at the same time, it is these ceilings that do not distract the eye from other interior elements, ennobling and leveling the room. The most practical texture, suitable for all classic furnishings, is matte. The surface does not reflect light, it looks like a plastered or painted ceiling. The color scheme is also varied, but due to the lack of a mirror effect, the colors are not as saturated as with glossy ceilings. And one more type of stretch ceilings - satin stretch ceilings - imitation of fabric with a weakly expressed texture. They have a similarity to matte ceilings, but a slight sheen is still present. Adds elegance to the room. If the surface is colored, the shade of the canvas may change depending on the lighting and viewing angle. In addition, various textures of stretch ceilings can be combined with each other, create various color and relief combinations that can cause optical illusion, giving the room a zest, its own design touch.

Stretch ceilings can be single or multi-level. Single-level ceilings are ordinary ceilings that are less and less used in living rooms. The frame made of profiles is fixed at the same height, the canvas is stretched over the entire area. The shape repeats the configuration of the walls, taking into account niches and ledges. With this design, there is less height loss. Therefore, single-level ceilings are recommended for low rooms. Multilevel tensioners allow you to divide the space into separate zones and place accents. Ceilings in several levels are also used to hide ventilation ducts. The profiles make up a complex structure. The canvases of stretch ceilings are stretched at different heights. It should be borne in mind that the ceiling height is reduced. Therefore, such designs are suitable for rooms with high ceiling heights. Three, four or more levels look good only in very high rooms (in large rooms of cottages, cafes, restaurants, entertainment venues). The shape of the ceilings can also differ, they are flat, wavy, cone-shaped, arched. Flat - this is when the canvas is parallel to the floor, there can be both single-level and multi-level. Undulating stretch ceilings are often found in swimming pools, water parks or bathrooms. The size and shape of the waves may vary. They are located: along one of the walls; evenly over the entire ceiling; more pronounced at the edges and smoothed in the middle. Waves look great in gloss. Colors are chosen most often saturated.
